Vegan Banana & Chocolate Marble Cake

Vegan Banana and chocolate marble cake

Banana and chocolate is the most delicious combination ever! This cake is so tasty and airy and will make the perfect afternoon treat.

Prep-time: 10 minutes

Baking time: 25-30 minutes

Servings: 1 tin cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 240g plain flour

  • 200g sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 3 tsp egg replacement (I used Orgran)

  • 150g plant butter (I used the plant butter from Tesco)

  • 1 large ripe banana (mashed)

  • 110ml oat milk

  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 35g cocoa powder

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C.

2. Add all the ingredients listed above into a large mixing bowl (except for cocoa powder), mix well.

3. Divide the dough into 2 batches, then add the cocoa powder into one of the bowls and mix it well. So that you'll have 2 bathes, batter 1 is without cocoa powder and batter 2 is the one with cocoa powder.

4. Start by adding ½ cup of batter nr 1 into the baking tin then add ½ cup of batter nr 2 and continue doing that until you run out of batter (see video for method).

5. Tap the tin a few times and use a knife to create a pattern on the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 180°C, let it cool for 15 minutes before cutting into it.

Enjoy!
